Being a wizard is cool. Being a giant is insanely interesting. Being a half-wizard giant? Now, that’s way too awesome! A trustworthy keeper of the Forbidden Forest and a man with a heart as large as his pets, Hagrid is one great character worthy of our love. He’s been the kindest, warmest, and most protective character around. Well, definitely not the best at keeping secrets and finding the perfect girl but he is nevertheless memorable for all his great efforts and loyalty as a friend and as a protector.  He will be best missed for his laugh, his bulky body, his sensitivity, his humor, his love and care for Dumbledore, Harry and his friends, and all those whom he loved dearly, and most especially for his exotic, magical, and dangerous pets. I loved Norbert (or Norberta)! Such a lovely dragon for a pet, don’t you think? Thank you Robbie Coltrane for playing Rubeus Hagrid for us! It’s been really a pleasure to have witnessed your character’s adventures through the years, and you did such a great job in making us fall in love with the man who guarded the Forbidden Forest.  Ah, well, people can be stupid abou’ their pets.
